2019 New Years Resolutions UPDATE
January is over and I am feeling really good about the progress I’ve made with my 2019 New Years Resolutions. At the beginning of the month, I wrote about my plans for 2019. In that post, I outlined some goals for myself and how I planned to execute them. You can read about that here.
2019 New Years Resolutions: Organization
My first goal for the year was to learn to organize myself better. I started using a planner that I keep with me at all times. Having my planner on hand has helped me capture blog and recipe ideas before they disappear because its always near me. Its also helped me plan out my week more clearly and work through to-do lists every day. I have been much more productive because its the first thing I look at every morning!
I’ve continued to use HabitHub to help me continue with good habits and minimize more undesirable habits. It has been reminding me to do yoga and avoid binge eating every day. Its been a real help to keep me going.
2019 New Years Resolutions: Yoga for Anxiety
My other resolution was to practice yoga every day using Adrienne Mishler’s Dedicate 30 day Yoga Journey in an effort to combat anxiety and provide some self-care. I am really proud of my progress on this one, I have actually done yoga every day for 30 days! I didn’t skip or forget a single day because I actually am so excited to do it! When I can’t do it right away, I look forward to it all day until I can finally set the time aside to do it in the evening. Weightloss and Fitness Goals
I had a few other goals planned for the spring so I haven’t started those yet. Since its too cold right now they will come when the weather warms up a bit. I have settled into a really good routine now that I am happy with that I can see will be easy for me to continue long term. My weight has been recovering post-holiday season really nicely and I have eased back into meal prep and the cravings have calmed down significantly. I am about 15 lbs away from my lowest weight and then I am hoping I will continue on to my goal weight by the end of the year!
